A few words about myself...

My name is Mark Brumfield. I am 18 years old and have been a fan of the Our Gang shorts since my 11th birthday on 5/25/95.

After renting the new Little Rascals movie when it came out, my parents informed me of an original series of episodes made in the 1930s. I was instantly interested in seeing some episodes mainly due to the age. I was able to find a few of the Rascals video-cassettes at Roses, but had to wait for my following birthday to get them as presents. So finally, the day I turned 11, I got my first two videos... and "The Pinch Singer" was the first episode I've ever seen. I soon realized the originals are much better than the remake.

The following Christmas, I acquired a copy of the book (or should I say encyclopedia?!), written by Leonard Maltin and Richard Bann, the following Christmas, which has all the information that could ever be written in a book. From reading the book so much, I wore out *TWO* copies and had to buy a third one!!

Video-Collecting History...

As mentioned above, I began my collecting on May 25, 1995. My first 2 videos ever gotten were from Republic Pictures Home Video, containing 2 shorts each.

Shortly afterwards, I found a 12-volume set from Cabin Fever Entertainment individually for rent from a local video store. I have rented every volume until I have eventually bought all the volumes from other stores for my own collection, including the 2nd set of the Cabin Fever tapes (volumes 13-21).

While renting the Cabin Fever set, I have been taping the later M-G-M shorts from Turner Network Television (TNT) up until I have recorded all of their shorts. Unfortunately, TNT did not show 10 out of the 52 shorts as Tommy "Butch" Bond asked for residuals.

Finally, I got a home computer in late 1999, which meant I was able to have better luck acquiring the MAJORLY rare Little Rascals episodes/videos that I was unable to find door to door in video stores. Most of the rare collection came from Ebay and special online stores such as Grapevine Video and Picture Palace. My collection continues to grow, being thus far over 160 tapes.

For Little Rascals support, I have taped all of the episodes from American Movie Classics, which recently aired most of the the Hal Roach talkies Unfortunately, the series, along with The Three Stooges, has been removed from their schedule.

Email Me! I would be glad to talk about the Little Rascals. You may also AOL Instant Message me. My screen name is Mark2002B
