The Little Rascals Version 2.0
Actually, a few months ago or less, AMC took out the "Version 2.0" segments, and that includes Frankie Muniz's intros. This wasn't really a bad thing, as most people prefer seeing the shorts only. Well, so much for good news of the 2.0 stuff taken out; the bad day has come for the classic series to leave television again. September 29, 2002 at 8-9AM was the final airing of The Little Rascals on AMC, along with The Three Stooges! The very next day, AMC has changed their logo, added a new tagline, and the worst... a new change in their regular programming: newer movies from the 70s-90s!! There's a commercial that plays on AMC asking for feedback to find out how we all feel about the big change; go to www.amcfeedback.com and let them know how we feel about their poor judgements! In that commercial, there's also a number you can call to leave a feedback. I forget the number as I've only seen the ad once. Look out for the commercial and write down the number. |

Our Gang Shorts:
Now that AMC has given the Little Rascals the boot, we're back to the old days of very rarely ever seeing the show on TV at all. TNT used to play the later M-G-M shorts every morning in the mid 1990s. As time flew by, the shorts weren't played as frequent anymore (only as fillers) up until now where TNT shows no signs of airing them at all. I was informed that TBS plays the shorts every now and then as "Interstitial" very early in the mornings. Interstitial means fillers, which could be a cartoon short, Monkey-ed Movies, and Our Gang. Go to www.tvguide.com, look up "interstitial", and there'll be a scheduled listing of fillers on TBS. They don't tell what short will be played, so program your VCRs to whatever times in the morning they are airing and check later to see if you have an Our Gang episode! |

E! Entertainment E! Entertainment has recently made a new "True Hollywood Story" episode titled The Curse of the Little Rascals. It premiered on November 24, 2002, but is occasionally re-ran. In the past, they have also made two "Mysteries and Scandals" episodes on Carl "Alfalfa" Switzer and Matthew "Stymie" Beard. Check your TV listings for these. | ||
