George "Spanky" McFarland made a cameo appearance for the intro of an episode of "Cheers" (Woody Gets An Election) just several months before his fatal heart attack. The episode premiered in early April 1993, and his death occured in late June. Enjoy the pictures from probably Spanky's final TV appearance.

Scene One
Cliff informs Norm of the man sitting on the other side of the bar, both agreeing it may very well be Spanky McFarland from the old Little Rascals.
Scene Two
Cliff walks over to have a talk with the man to find out if he's Spanky, while Norm sits down to watch from his seat.
Scene Three
Of course, before the man ever has a chance to reveal who he is, Cliff begins to blab about being a fan of the series.
Scene Four
"I have every episode on tape!... all except Free Eats and Captain Spanky's Show Boat. Oh, how funny it was when Alfalfa sang 'Happy Birthday Mr. Hood', the He-Man Woman Haters Club, and... heh, I had the biggest crush on Darla..." as Spanky listens to Cliff.
Scene Five
STILL not being able to say anything, Cliff describes the cake-noise scene he remembers from Birthday Blues.
Scene Six
Finally, Cliff asks the man if he's Spanky. "No" as he shakes his head. Cliff gives everyone his farewell before leaving the bar.
Scene Seven
Norm, who watched it all from other side, asks after Cliff leaves "You ARE Spanky aren't ya?". The man nods "Oh yes". Norm gives his little toast to one of the most memorable child actors of all time.
